Description of Duties

This position, in the health care field is responsible for performing a variety of direct and indirect services for chronically ill and convalescent patients. This position is distinguished from Nursing Assistant by virtue of being responsible for the training and mentoring of Nursing Assistant and Unit Aide staff in a unit. The employee reports directly to, and works under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse or other higher-level staff member. Supervision of others is not a responsibility of this position. Minimum Qualifications

PROPOSED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma plus one (1) year paid full-time or its part-time equivalency experience in patient care in a hospital or long term care setting.
