Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or graduate of approved Cytotechnology program or equivalent.
  • Minimum six years in performing Cytology services in a lab providing both GYN and Non-GYN Cytology.
  • Licensed NYS Cytotechnologist.

Preferred

  • Previous responsibility or experience meeting regulatory requirements, budget and capital expense objectives.
  • Marketing Cytology services experience.

Supervisor I Cytology Section, UHS Wilson Medical Center United Health Services is seeking a Supervisor I Cytology Section to join our Cytopathology department at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. This position is benefits eligible.

$35.27 - $53.94 per hour, depending on experience.

Overview

Under the medical direction of the Laboratory Medical Director and the general direction of the Laboratory Administrative Director the Cytology Supervisor is responsible for all QA/QC activities of Cytology. The scope of these responsibilities includes but is not limited to: compliance with CLIA 88 regulations, CAP and NYSDOH standards, United Health Services Lab policies and procedures, annual survey on-site visits, providing technical assistance/counseling, handling client visits and phone calls, as necessary and overall responsibility for Cytology department services.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

+ Bachelor's degree and/or graduate of approved Cytotechnology program or equivalent.

+ Minimum six (6) years in performing Cytology services in a lab providing both GYN and Non-GYN Cytology.

Preferred:

+ Previous responsibility or experience meeting regulatory requirements, budget and capital expense objectives and marketing Cytology services.

License/Certification

+ Minimum Required:

+ Licensed NYS Cytotechnologist
