Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in MIG TIG welding, mill and turning machinery, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing and/or packaging.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to comprehend and follow instructions, and perform tasks as required.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers and Variable Frequency Drivers.
  • Ability to follow company SOPs; knowledge of GMPs and safety guidelines.
  • Understand production systems and machinery thoroughly.

Position Summary:

A Mechanic A is responsible for the repair, overhaul, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and/or packaging equipment and facility upgrades as required.

This is a full-time, union position - both day and night shift opportunities available.

Physical Demands:

+ Required to use hands to operate computer controls, equipment, tools, and operational machinery.

+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, bend, sit, talk, hear, or walk for long periods. The employee may lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

+ Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

+ Work environment in production facilities include proximity to heavy machinery, pharmaceutical powders/powders, fumes, and loud noises.

+ Potential to move between production operations sites/areas to complete job functions.

+ Hours/Travel maybe subject to changed based on management/company discretion.

+ May be required to work in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, snow.

+ Responsible for compliance with all rules and regulations pertaining to safety policies and for leading by example with the proper attitude toward safety and health, helping to ensure that all department operations are performed with the utmost regard for the safety and health for all personnel.
