Oxon Hill Veterinary Hospital DBA as PetSmart Veterinary Services is looking to add a Veterinary Assistant/ RVT to our team.
Our ideal candidate has a RVT license or is an experienced veterinary assistant.
Must be mature, dependable, organized, good phone skills, and able to multitask.
Must have a positive attitude and the ability to get along with others.
Must have compassion for pets and their owners.

Skills Needed: Place IV catheters, blood draws, perform and monitor anesthesia, dental procedures, take x-rays, assist veterinarians, fill prescriptions, pet restraint, rooming patients, restocking hospital supplies, understands the importance of a clean and orderly facility, doesn’t hesitate to clean or organize as part of a normal job duty, assist with laundry and other tasks. General knowledge of laboratory equipment, autoclave, ultrasound, laser are a plus.
