As a Cruise & Offshore Service Sales Executive at Johnson Controls International, you will be the face of the company to customers, focusing on delivering excellent value and service with integrity. Responsibilities

  • Selling Johnson Controls' aftersales services, including maintenance services, health checks, parts, long-term contracts, and retrofit solutions.
  • Driving the execution of your Go-To-Market strategy in existing markets.
  • Employing enterprise tools and value selling concepts to deliver targeted growth.
  • Ensuring strategies' success by taking key findings to continuously adapt your sales strategy to deliver growth.
  • Ensuring effective adoption of Company systems, tools, pricing policies, and sales processes.
  • Using market intelligence and industry networking tools to blend field activity with conversations with new clients to capture opportunities.
  • Utilizing Salesforce.com CRM application including Altify for sales management.
  • Working with the Marketing function to support with external communications and tailoring customer campaigns.

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience in developing new business through excellent client relationships and proactive planning.
  • Experience in field sales and in-depth knowledge of the complexities of relationship selling as well as planning, business development, opportunity, and pipeline management.
  • Ideally, experience of Salesforce.com CRM application including Altify.
  • Experience within a large organization where matrix structures are common.
  • Existing experience and an established client base within the Cruise market would be ideal.
  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or HVAC engineering.
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment as well as the ability to read electrical, HVAC diagrams, P&ID diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Skilled communicator and effective in translating technical knowledge into tangible sales specifications and quotations.
  • High level of spoken and written English

Preferred

  • Proven track record of selling technical service solutions on either HVAC/Refrigeration/ Fire Protection systems within the Cruise Market.
  • Working with major shipyards and owners
  • Ability to present technical and commercial information to board level.
  • Resourceful and engaging with operational departments to ensure high levels of customer service.
  • Ability to build plans and bring teams together for mutual success.
  • Outstanding customer engagement
  • Proven track record of achieving results.
  • Great skills within stakeholder analysis, enabling you to identify and build relationships with key decision makers and customers at all levels.

Joining the Marine and Offshore Sales Team as a Sales Executive, you will be the face of Johnson Controls towards our customers, and you will focus on always delivering excellent value and service with integrity.

What you will do

Johnson Controls Marine & Offshore Service unit is a global business with employees acting across the globe and backed by a global service team in 10 locations. The Service business is acting on HVAC, Fire Protection & Refrigeration solutions to deliver maintenance and retrofit services to a wide range of applications for Cruise, Offshore, Passenger, Coast Guard and Merchant vessels.

As a member of our service team, you will be based in Miami with regular travel across the country

How you will do it

The Sales Executive is responsible for business to business sales of HVAC, Refrigeration and Fire Suppression service and Maintenance solutions to a wide range of segments with the main priority focusing on selling HVAC service and maintenance projects for vessels, offshore Oil & Gas and renewable segment. In cooperation with the Head of Sales in Marine and Offshore Services, will focus on securing continuous growth within these segments. Visit customers, end user and influencers, collaborate with sales support at times, and gain an understanding of customer project specifications and inquiries.

Create quotations, specifications and sales proposals for service sales and retrofit projects, and follow the sales cycle to successful outcomes.

Responsible for updating sales pipeline information and updating our sales CRM platform.

What we look for

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or HVAC engineering.

  • Requires 3 plus years of sales experience selling into the offshore oil and gas and marine vertical markets.

  • Sales experience in marine and offshore segment.

  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC and/or refrigeration systems.

  • Knowledge of electrical equipment as well as the ability to read electrical, HVAC diagrams, P&ID diagrams and technical specifications.

  • Strong communicator and effective in translating technical knowledge into tangible sales specifications and quotations.

  • Must be able to work autonomously, yet must also be a team player who understands and values effective cooperation with colleagues, also collaborate with a technically skilled sales support team in our global organization.

  • Must possess strong skills within stakeholder analysis, which enables us to identify and build relationships with key decision makers and customers at all levels.

  • Local to the Miami Area

Preferred

  • Experience in selling Fire protection systems including Suppression and Fire Alarm systems.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish
