We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Second Family Nursing Services, Inc. The role involves the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of assigned patients, including administering nursing care to children with Medically Fragile needs, monitoring patient symptoms, and providing emotional support to patients and their families. - Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
- Team Work with child’s care team: parent/guardian, caregivers, physicians etc.
- accompanying child to medical appointments/emergency visits, outings in the community, & trips
- Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members
Qualifications
Required
- Rate is based on Skill Competence Review Check; This Skill Competence check will determine your Level of practice which determines the PDN case/assignment
- Previous 1YR experience in pediatric care
- Familiarity with medical software for documentation
- Familiarity with medical equipment to administer care; to include: Pulse Oximeter, Oxygen reservoirs, IV administration, etc.
- Ability to build rapport with client, family, and prescribing physicians
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in English language skills to speak, write, and read without much difficulty
- Must have a current, unrestricted, and verifiable License
- Must have current CPR and First Aid certification
- Employee/Contractor must have at least one year of clinical experience which includes pediatric/adult direct patient care within the last two years
- Current malpractice insurance certificate
