- Perform diagnostic tests and other procedures, such as intubation and blood draws
- Ensure proper feeding and basic care
Qualifications
Required
- Master's degree in Nursing with Neonatal Certification
- Valid Florida APRN or PA License with Neonatal certification
- Certification through ANCC, or other nationally recognized certifying body
- NRP certification
Preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in the NICU as an RN
- 1-2 years of experience in the NICU as a Neonatal APRN

**Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Opportunity available** in Altamonte, FL. AdventHealth Medical Group (https://www.fhmedicalgroup.com/) is seeking dynamic and energetic Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to work in our Level II NICU. The neonatal nurse practitioner in collaboration with the neonatology will cover the 10 bed level 2 NICU at Altamonte.
General Summary:
+ The NNP is responsible for providing care for NICU and Newborn patients within the scope of licensure and within the supervising physician's scope of practice
+ Evaluate patients, perform procedures, develop treatment plans, order and interpret labs, x-rays and other diagnostic studies per specialty guidelines and under the guidance of the Neonatologist
+ Communicate with parents, other specialists and among NICU team
+ Monitoring specialized equipment, including incubators and ventilators
+ Providing education and support to patients' families regarding neonatal, intensive and, postpartum care
+ Dispensing medications under collaborative agreement with a physician

**Schedule Details:**
+ 16-hour night shifts
**Required Education and Experience:**
+ Master's degree in Nursing with Neonatal Certification (required)
+ 1-2 years of experience in the NICU as an RN (highly preferred)
+ 1-2 years of experience in the NICU as a Neonatal APRN (preferred but not required)
**Required Licensure and Certification:**
+ Must hold a valid Florida APRN or PA License with Neonatal certification
+ Certification through ANCC, or other nationally recognized certifying body
+ NRP certification
