  • Monitor patient vital signs to ensure safety, including skin color, pupil dilation, pulse, heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, ventilation or urine output.
  • Inform physician of patient's condition during anesthesia.
  • Manage patients' airway or pulmonary status using techniques such as endotracheal intubation, mechanical ventilation, pharmacological support, respiratory therapy, and extubation.
  • Oversee patient recovery from anesthesia and care for patient's immediate post-operative needs.
  • Develop anesthesia care plans.
  • Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.
  • Respond to emergency situations by providing airway management, administering fluids or drugs, and using basic or advanced life support techniques.

Qualifications

Required

  • A Master's Degree and a graduate from an accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia Program (CRNA)
  • Valid Florida CRNA License
  • BLS/ACLS/PALS certification

Preferred

  • Minimum 2 years of experience
