This position is responsible for operating, maintaining, and performing repairs on assigned HVAC and Refrigeration equipment and controls, chilled water systems, boilers, and various other mechanical, electrical and building systems to ensure optimal client relations. Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, calibrate and adjust pilots, thermostats and burners, transformers, controls, relays, heaters, elements, switches and controls on electrical systems
  • Use tools of the trade (e.g. multimeter, refrigerant gauges, charging charts, hand tools etc., CMMS)
  • Install, maintain and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment
  • Identify maintenance risks on equipment
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems
  • Clean, adjust and repair systems, and perform warranty services
  • Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
  • Provide technical direction and on-the-job training
  • Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions
  • Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Comply with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements
  • Assist with customers' queries
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent
  • Refrigeration/HVAC Trade or Vocational certification required
  • 1+ year experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field

**Overview**

**Essential Functions**
