Full Job Description

The Department of Dermatology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Instructor positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Board Certified/Eligible in Dermatology.

Responsibilities may include additional professional training in general dermatology and complex medical dermatology while developing expertise in teaching, administration, or clinical research. The applicant must have demonstrated research interest related to dermatology with a desire to start an independent career.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to develop expertise in a focused area of clinical research, and enhanced experience within a specialized clinical program. The individual will have opportunities to apply for sponsored research funding, including Career Development Awards from foundations.
