Job Purpose
The purpose and function of Vehicle Service Contract (VSC) Operations department is to service all Honda Care and Acura Care related matters that occur after the date of contract purchase, including VSC claim adjudication and monitoring. Our goal is to influence Honda and Acura customer and dealer loyalty through premier service levels.The Business Development Specialist is responsible for the oversight of auto vehicle service contracts and ancillary products. Within the daily scope of responsibilities are product marketing & promotion, sales forecasting, penetration rates, analysis of current and historical performance trends, management of dealer incentive programs, and developing and creating products and programs that enhance the profitability of both Honda and Dealers with the ultimate goal of improving customer loyalty and retention. We are looking for people to improve Honda’s brand recognition and help boost financial growth. This position also contributes to the support and training of Field, Sales, and Marketing departments from both AHM and AHFC.
Key Accountabilities
Execute strategies to achieve sales, profitability, and dealer satisfaction targets
• Establish National level objectives and review trends
• Support and implement changes to programs, initiatives, dealer incentives, and market strategies
• Act as project lead for inter- and intra-company projects supporting strategy development, including communication to senior leadership
• Promote and communicate company direction and initiatives
Develop, Create, and Implement new VSC product strategies
• Using knowledge of local market conditions, contribute sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and pricing
• Act as project lead for inter- and intra-company projects supporting product program development & management, including communication to senior leadership
• Represent AHM VSC in industry roundtables
Provide Support to the regional field associates/management (AHM & AHFC)
• Represent VSC at local, regional, and national field meetings (AHM & AHFC)
• Provide tools, reporting, and training to help the field team to achieve objectives and KPIs
• Identify potential opportunities to further expand or improve objectives and KPIs
• Analyse current and past performance trends and prepare reports and projections based on trend
Build, maintain, and develop dealership relationships and contacts
• Communicate and address issues while maximizing dealer support
• Hold on site meetings and training at dealerships
Assist with the management of VSC Operations
• Support efforts to meet risk and profitability targets and compliance requirement
