Personal Caregivers help clients maintain their dignity, independence, and safety by aiding with daily living activities and instructional

activities within their home and community. service is delivered in a caring and respectful manner, under Righteous Hands Personal Care

Agency. The personal Caregiver reports to the RN supervisor.

PCW Qualifications:

· Must be a Certified Nurse Assistant or Patient Care Associate and State approved Home Health Aide.

· The personal caregiver must be dependable, honest, tactful, patient, intelligent, responsible, compassionate, emotionally stable,

cheerful, and understanding. In addition, the provider must be able to work as a team, have good communication skills, willing to perform

repetitive routine tasks, be supportive to those facing difficult situations, and maintain patient confidentiality

· The personal caregiver cannot be a legally responsible relative of the client.

Personal Caregiver Duties:

1. Duties include but are not limited to assisting the client with personal care tasks, observation of the client’s physical, mental,

emotional conditions and assisting in administering medication.

2. The personal caregiver may be responsible for meal preparation/feeding, light housekeeping, shopping/errands, transportation,

and vitals.

3. The personal caregiver must be capable of performing tasks assigned by the RN supervisor and must provide written documentation

to the RN supervisor on each assignment.

5. The personal caregiver must promptly report any significant changes observed or reported in the client’s condition to the RN supervisor.
