Responsibilities
- Clean assigned areas with standard custodian materials and equipment.

- Wipe and sanitize counters, tables, and other surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, break rooms, and processing areas.
- Keep the manufacturing and shop floors clean from spills, dust, and debris.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing air filters, and minor building repairs.
- Wash walls, windows, furniture, and other items to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
- Assist with organization of materials.
- Follow safety protocols and use PPE to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or cleanliness concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Inventory, monitoring of, and ordering of cleaning supplies and restroom amenities.
- Complete all tasks assigned by Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Exhibit professionalism with customers, clients, and coworkers.
- Maintain customer and program confidentiality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial duties, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals used in commercial cleaning operations.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and prioritize tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift objects, bend, stoop, walk, and stand for extended periods of time.

We are seeking a hardworking and dependable individual to join our team as a Custodian to ensure a safe and hygienic work environment for our employees and customers. This individual must be capable of working independently to support the cleanliness and maintenance of 2 facilities in Metro Detroit. The primary work location is in Novi, MI; with a secondary, occasional work location in New Hudson, MI.

+ Employee will work primarily out of our Novi, MI facility, with one day every other week spent in our New Hudson facility.
