  • May substitute as an Early Intervention Specialist in the classroom when needed
  • Serves as an advocate and positive role model for the children

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience in ABA, or other methodology based instruction for children with disabilities
  • At least 12 Early Childhood Education units
  • Three (3) years’ experience in a classroom for children with special needs
  • Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Psychology, or a related field

Full Job Description

Position Title: Early Start Quality Specialist for Children with Disabilities


Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 3:00pm (35 hours per week)

Location: 4 days in Concord, 1 day in Richmond, CA

Compensation: $25 per hour

The Quality Specialist engages to support the entirely of the classroom, children (0-3 years old) with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. This position supports the children and teachers to ensure the success of the program and the implementation of methodologies (such as A.B.A). This position ensures correct usage of all methodologies (ABA, TEACCH, PECS etc...), correct set up of program environment, and verifies collection and analysis of data on children within the program.


A successful Quality Specialist will...

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have experience in ABA, or other methodology based instruction for children with disabilities
  • At least 12 Early Childhood Education units
  • Three (3) years’ experience in a classroom for children with special needs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Psychology, or a related field
  • Additional experience can be used as a substitution for education.
