Responsibilities

  • Wire contacts, overloads, switches, power distribution blocks, and relays
  • Read electrical schematics
  • Run 480V high power cables
  • Run 24V DC low power
  • Pull and mark wires and labels
  • Terminate wires to panels
  • Test inputs and outputs
  • Troubleshoot and fix electrical issues with live 480V
  • Assist in disassembling of the electrical components within our machines at the end of builds

Full Job Description

Title: CNC Machinist / Setup Operator

Location: Oak Lawn, IL

Duration: Permanent Hire

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Shift: Night Shift (4:30PM 3:00AM, Mon Thurs) *With opportunity for overtime on Fridays



Current staffing needs:

  • CNC Swiss machine and a CNC lathe machinist (2nd shift)



Qualifications/Requirements

  • 3+ Years of CNC setup experience on lathes
  • Ability to run production on that machine, inspecting parts to ensure critical dimensions are being held consistently.
  • Must have good GD&T knowledge, to figure out true positions etc without a CMM.
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints (including GD&T features such as true position and profile of a surface)
  • Ability to manipulate G-Code programs, change work offsets, and adjust tool offsets
  • Ability to change, touch-off, and indicate tools for CNC lathes.
  • Experience making medical or aerospace parts is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk up to 90% of the day
  • Ability to bend, twist, turn, and reach up to 100% of the day
  • Ability to work in a shop environment - continuous exposure to potentially hazardous metal working machinery and equipment, loud noises, dust, mist, oils and solvents.
  • Be punctual and maintain an excellent attendance record
  • Aptitude test given at onsite interview
