The Bilingual Production Supervisor will oversee the daily and overall performance of manufacturing personnel in a plastic manufacturing environment. Responsibilities

  • Standard Operation Procedures and procedures documented (working with Mfg. Engineer.).
  • Implement/ensure proper training of best practices, processes, and procedures.
  • Ongoing validation of quality.
  • Lean methodology with ongoing continuous improvement.
  • Continually strive for the reduction of waste.
  • Continually strive to improve production efficiencies.
  • Responsible for creating and interpreting Mfg. and production reports
  • Enforce compliance with safety rules/regulations and company standards.
  • Hold daily production floor meetings
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5 years or more experience as production supervisor in a manufacturing environment or similar role.
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Working knowledge of various types of manufacturing machinery and tools, ideally plastic manufacturing.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Experience with ERP/MRP with shop floor/manufacturing is desired.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in building an effective, cohesive team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated and results driven.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.

Full Job Description

Title: Field Service Engineer (PLC / Electrical, 80% travel)

Company Location: Naperville, IL (May be based near a major airport in IL, IN, or WI)

Pay Rate: 80-90K salary + bonus

Duration of Job: Direct hire


We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to commission and service industrial equipment at our customer sites. Duties include:

  • Service existing equipment at customer sites to ensure that equipment is performing at optimal levels and according to machine specifications. Troubleshoots to isolate and resolve problems.
  • Commissions new equipment at the customer site. Ensures that the equipment has been properly installed for start-up (mechanically and electrically).
  • Performs warrantee service calls to troubleshoot equipment problems, and courtesy calls to ensure optimum customer satisfaction.
  • Checks stock on customers' spare parts for capital equipment and suggests additional spare parts.
  • Develops and provides ideas to Engineering department to improve equipment design and eliminate reoccurring manufacturing and design flaws.
  • Seeks equipment upgrades and new equipment business opportunities and promotes the advantages warranty contracts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in an industrial environment with responsibility for industrial machine maintenance and commissioning
  • Experience and proficiency in PLC edits/troubleshooting (Allen Bradley and Siemens)
  • Able to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Knowledge of pneumatic principles
  • Travel up to 80% worldwide. As such, must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport.
  • Must possess effective computer skills
  • Must present professionally with a positive, customer-focused attitude
  • BS in Engineering Preferred (not required)
  • 3 phase knowledge
  • Must provide own transportation (reimbursable) to drive to various customer sites
  • Ideal locations are IL, IN or WI near a major airport
