Full Job Description

The Division of Gastroenterology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Instructor positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Candidates will be board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology.

Responsibilities may include care of patients with IBD or GI oncology illness, teaching trainees and teaching Master's and PhD students.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to develop an individual training experience with research, basic, translational or clinical science in liver diseases, GI oncology or epidemiology, patients and teaching medical students, residents and GI fellows, Master's and PhD students, that allow the individual to attain personal career objectives while developing a career in an academic setting.
