- Responsible for interviewing and hiring new full-time engineers and interns
Qualifications
Required
- M.S. in electrical engineering, applied physics, or related field
- Strong experience in proposal writing and answering funding calls
- 10+ years of leading an engineering program in the optical communications/photonics space
- Experience designing products in both commercial and defense
- Experience in optical design: refractive/reflective/diffractive components, lasers or displays for microscopy, LiDAR, optical networking, or consumer applications
- Experience executing on a product design schedule/leading reviews
- Experience interacting with presenting technical product data to external customers
- Technical hardware design experience building chip-scale solutions
- Ability to generate technical content for product development
- Ability to travel as needed

Analog Photonics is a fast-growing silicon photonic technology startup. We use our proprietary silicon photonic platform to serve automotive, communications, consumer, and defense markets with innovative, chip-scale solutions.

- Provide strategic direction and technical leadership to the engineering team
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects
