Qualifications

Required

  • M.S. in electrical engineering, applied physics, or related field
  • Strong experience in proposal writing and answering funding calls
  • 10+ years of leading an engineering program in the optical communications/photonics space
  • Experience designing products in both commercial and defense
  • Experience in optical design: refractive/reflective/diffractive components, lasers or displays for microscopy, LiDAR, optical networking, or consumer applications
  • Experience executing on a product design schedule/leading reviews
  • Experience interacting with presenting technical product data to external customers
  • Technical hardware design experience building chip-scale solutions
  • Ability to generate technical content for product development
  • Ability to travel as needed

Analog Photonics is a fast-growing silicon photonic technology startup. We use our proprietary silicon photonic platform to serve automotive, communications, consumer, and defense markets with innovative, chip-scale solutions.


Responsibilities


  • Provide strategic direction and technical leadership to the engineering team
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects
  • Propose new programs, both government and commercial
