Responsibilities

  • Establishes new accounts by reviewing market analyses and determining customer needs and potential sales to achieve order intake.
  • Communicates weekly with the Chem/Pharma market manager to establish territory sales focus and technical support requirements
  • Prepares and presents technical and sales presentations at industry seminars and to customers.
  • Assists with preparing cost estimates by reviewing project plans, and related customer documents; consulting with engineers, designers, and other professional and technical personnel.
  • Determines improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment for applications in customer processes
  • Overnight travel within the Southcentral portion of the USA, as well as, occasional trips to our headquarters in Germany
  • Assists with writing proposals, preparing and negotiating final contract including pricing terms and conditions.
  • Ensures clear communication and hand-off to project management team.
  • Participates in tradeshows and other marketing activities to increase sales volume.

Qualifications

Required

  • Sales experience in the chemical/pharmaceutical market
  • Undergraduate Chemical Engineering degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent involvement in the chemical/pharmaceutical market
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and effectively communicate technical data and engineering systems
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills and work well in a team setting as well as independently

Preferred

  • Equipment sales experience
  • Houston, TX regional area living location
  • Technically capable of assisting service engineers in field testing
  • Applicant overnight travel approximately 2-3 nights per week

About the Opportunity
