  • Lead accident investigation and follow-up procedures to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, near misses, and corrective actions taken.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address safety concerns and promote a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in safety management to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Provide support and guidance to management and employees on safety-related issues.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish to effectively communicate with Spanish-speaking employees.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in safety management or Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) roles.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
  • Experience developing and implementing safety policies and procedures in a mid-size organization, preferably in manufacturing or construction industries.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and verbal.

Preferred

  • Experience with workers' compensation processes and claims management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
