- Guide nursing care by provider orders and the nursing plan of care within the LPN scope of practice.
- Report patient response to care to registered nurse or other provider for evaluation, intervention, and modification of the plan of care.
- Ensure documentation of care is complete and accurate.
- Obtain detailed patient medical histories.
- Collect telephone information for consultation with provider.
- Perform basic wound care and dressing changes.
- Notify patients of normal lab results and provider instructions for follow-up care.
- Administer medications and injections under the direction of the physician or APP.
Qualifications
Required
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing.
