  • Proficiency in MyMav (PeopleSoft).
  • Excellent computer skills.

Provide administrative support to the Department of Communication and serve as department internship coordinator..Provide administrative support for Department through answering phone, emails, mail, and in-person requests from faculty, staff, students, and visitors. Record faculty absences and confirm entry in TCP.Serve as department internship coordinator. Inform students, faculty, and employers of department internship policies; find and share relevant internship and job opportunities via social media and email; with Associate Chair, process student requests for internship credit. Maintain internship placement data and contact informationAssist colleagues and event committees with planning, coordinating, and executing two major department events (one in Fall and one in Spring) and smaller events throughout the year. Arrange parking for visitors. This may include purchasing and transporting items from various retailers to the office during work hours. Coordinate visitor parking requests and arrangments. Submit room reservation requests as needed.Assist colleagues with maintaining office space and equipment including supply inventory and purchasing as needed. Reconcile Procard monthly.Other duties throughout the year will include daily enrollment reports during student registration, gathering and consolidating information in preparation of a new semester, gathering student data to determine academic eligibility for student organizations and scholarships.Performs other duties as assigned..High school graduate.Ability to use a personal computer and standard office equipment.Ability to complete all physical tasks as needed..Associate degree or higher.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Administrative experience in an academic setting.Proficiency in MyMav (PeopleSoft).
