GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Set-up and Operate CNC grinders. Perform all basic grinding required within the shop conforming to all specifications. Math and shop related knowledge a must.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Set-up and run any parts on CNC ID cylindrical grinders

2. Inspect 1st pc and own work to meet standards

3. Operate precision gauging

4. Follow safety standards and procedures

5. Can operate with little or no supervision

6. Follow proper work instructions

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years CNC grinding experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts using decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form.
