CNC Supervisor & Programmer

Job Summary

As a CNC Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing CNC Operators, as well as operating a CNC machine when needed. You will also be responsible for generating programs using SolidWorks and Fusion 360 software.

Essential Duties

• Assist with the recruiting and hiring of CNC Operators.
• Interpret and analyze blueprints, sketches and drawings.
• Generate programs based off drawings and sketches.
• Collaborate with toolroom to acquire needed tooling.
• Communicate quoting issues back to management.
• Oversees routinely scheduled monthly machine maintenance.
• Assists with the development and implementation of shop safety rules to help minimize lost man time hours.
• Ensures compliance with current shop safety rules and regulations.
• Promote a healthy and positive work environment for all employees
• Mentor Operators to increase their knowledge and skillset.
• Maintain an accurately detailed shop labor schedule to assist with labor tracking functions.

Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, is preferred.
• 8-10 years CNC experience is required.
• Intermediate computer skills required in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

• This is a non-exempt position.
• This position typically has 1-2 direct reports.
• This position reports to the Machine Shop Division Manager.

Physical Requirements / Working Environment

• Position is located at 2730 Mine and Mill Road, Lakeland FL 33801.
• This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary (Monday - Sunday with some overnight work) and overtime is frequently required.
• Working environment is often times in harsh elements (hot / humid and/or cold temperatures, rain, etc.) Industrial environments often have exposure to hazardous chemicals, moving heavy equipment / machinery, and other safety-sensitive hazards / risks. Must always be alert and able to safely perform the essential duties of the job without risking harm to oneself or others.

• While performing the duties of this job, you will:
  • Occasionally perform physical activities that require use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and stooping.
