Aveanna is seeking dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to join our ABA-based clinics within schools. Responsibilities
- Direct Implementation of ITPs
- Work one-on-one with students to implement instructional and behavioral strategies outlined in their Individualized Treatment Plans (ITPs).
- Employ evidence-based interventions such as Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Natural Environment Training (NET), and Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT).
- Support the development of communication, social, and adaptive skills through structured and naturalistic teaching methods.
- Use techniques like Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices to enhance communication skills through a verbal behavior model.
- Facilitate social skills training through structured playgroups, peer modeling, and social stories.
- Collect real-time data on target behaviors and skill acquisition using digital tools and software.
- Monitor and record students' progress, providing detailed and accurate documentation for review by the BCBA and interdisciplinary team.
- Implement proactive strategies to promote desirable behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Assist in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and applying Positive Behavior Support (PBS) techniques.
- Provide the specified amount of services as detailed in each student's Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP).
- Maintain thorough documentation and complete daily clinical notes to ensure accurate records and facilitate billing for services.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 1 year experience working with children with developmental and behavioral challenges, preferably in an educational or clinical setting
- Knowledge of ABA principles and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to collect and document data accurately and efficiently
Preferred
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
- Experience with data collection tools and software
- Familiarity with Positive Behavior Support (PBS) strategies and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
+ Ability to collect and document data accurately and efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:
