Responsibilities
- Work with a safety first mindset to keep self and other team members safe
- Maintain accurate records consistent with GE HealthCare's good documentation practices
- Provide evaluation and constructive feedback in the development of new and existing work instructions
- Provide strong individual contributions to assist in the team's overall success
- Complete all planned Quality, Compliance, and Safety training within defined deadlines
- Use basic hand and power tools to disassemble a large variety of medical equipment while ensuring the safe handling of critical parts
- Cleaning and inspection of mechanical and electrical components
- Cross reference part numbers, schematics, and purchase specifications to ensure part compliance
- Utilize pallet jacks, lift carts, and other equipment to safely move heavy systems and parts
- Contribute to the improvement and sustainment of departmental Lean and 5s goals
Qualifications
Required
- Associates degree, or a High School diploma and 2 years technical experience
- Proficiency to logically troubleshoot at subsystem and system level, using identifiable problem solving techniques
- Ability to draw accurate conclusions from test data, malfunctions, or deviations, and assist with corrections to the existing design or process
- Proficiency to understand and interpret basic written technical information
- Demonstrated ability to work well with limited direction and information
- Ability to communicate using English (or local language)
Preferred
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft office applications
- Demonstrated expertise with hand and power tools
- Electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting experience
- Familiarity with GE HealthCare medical systems
