Full Job Description

For nearly 25 years, we have provided on-site instructional services within the hospital setting, helping students to continue their academic progress during treatment and successfully reenter the classroom. LearnWell has a network of 180+ dedicated educators that commit themselves daily to embracing our mission and positively impacting generations to come.


LearnWell is currently looking for our next creative and passionate teacher to fill a school year or year-round full time position in Dover, DE. The certified teacher will work in a unique fast-paced behavioral health facility center; which involves working with adolescent students in a classroom setting and supporting them academically with common core subjects while they are receiving treatment.


Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver daily lesson plans and instructional material
  • Help students one-on-one if extra assistance is needed on their individual school curriculum.
  • Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction
  • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, hospital and parents regarding student progress and student needs
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies
  • Updating daily attendance and creating daily session reports for each student


Position is 40-hour a week commitment during the school year or year round, Monday-Friday 7:30-4:00pm or 8-4:30pm. We offer a very generous package of paid time off including vacation time, sick time, federal holidays, and paid school breaks. This position includes a $1,000.00 sign on bonus! $500.00 bonus paid out after teacher's 30 days of employment and then the remaining $500.00 paid after 90 days of employment!
