The Occupational Therapist at Health First is responsible for providing quality, no harm, customer experience, and stewardship through the treatment of physical and psychological dysfunctions. This includes activities such as arts and crafts, functional prevocational and vocational skills, and activities of daily living.   • Complies with State and Federal regulations, JCAHO standards reference delivery of Home Care Services.
  • Evaluates patient outcomes, communicates progress, and changes in condition to physician.
  • Supervises the Home Health Aide no greater than every 14 days.
  • Supervises the Occupational Therapy Assistant and ensures competency annually.
  • Documents alterations in the Plan of Care with Treatment Orders sent for signature to MD on the day the change occurs and progress towards goals.
  • Ensures appropriate utilization of visits and services for care ordered as noted through proper documentation completed within 2 days of the visit.

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy (Bachelor's required).
  • Minimum of 1 year acute care experience.
  • Home Care experience preferred
  • Criminal History Screening to include Level II Fingerprints.
  • Computer skills.
  • Current Florida Drivers License, automobile insurance and reliable transportation.
  • Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintain.
  • Current licensure in the State of Florida as an Occupational Therapist.
