  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Meet physical requirements, such as lifting, bending and standing for long periods (up to 12 hours)
  • Must be able to work weekends as necessary and be on call for critical equipment needs

Sequel Wire and Cable is a manufacturer of wire and cable products located in Argos, IN. Sequel is looking to round out its maintenance staff by adding maintenance support on the night shift. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Technician will be an integral part of our manufacturing team with responsibilities for:

1. Performing preventive maintenance (PMs) on our newest-generation equipment to keep it in top working condition
2. Reading equipment manuals and schedules, and tracking/documenting periodic maintenance tasks performed as part of the job duties
3. Assisting night operators with maintenance issues, enabling them to produce quality products on their shift
4. Hands on responsibility for maintaining all equipment, and transferring information and known issues during shift change
5. Monitor building systems and maintain, diagnose and repair as necessary (steam boilers, air compressors, cooling towers, etc.)

The successful candidate must be a hands on team player with strong interpersonal skills capable of professionally interacting with all levels of the organization. Strong attention to detail, an inquisitive mind, and the willingness to take ownership of the assigned job responsibilities will also help this candidate be successful.
