Qualifications

Required

  • Master's degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling
  • Current NYS Social Work or Mental Health Counselor license or limited permit
  • Competency demonstrated by at least 1 year of training and/or experience in integrated mental health and substance abuse assessment and treatment, motivational interviewing techniques and stage-wise treatment
  • Clean valid NYS driver's license
  • Ability to travel independently throughout Nassau and western Suffolk counties

Preferred

  • CASAC certification

Substance Abuse Specialist - Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Program

Full-time: Monday-Friday 9a-5p

Limited Permit: $31.51/hour

LMSW: $34/hour

LMHC/LCSW: $38.48/hour

We have a great opportunity for a positive, motivated individual to work in a multi-disciplinary, mobile outpatient OMH program with a specialty in health and self-wellness activities and initiatives for ACT recipients.

In this position, you will:
