The Greater Valley YMCA is seeking a Food Service Manager for their Bethlehem location.   • Assist in routine sanitation of the kitchen and related equipment
  • Clean and maintain all food preparation and storage areas
  • Supervise the cleaning of prep, serving, and dining dishes
  • Reduce waste, reuse items, and recycle as indicated through the facility's procedures
  • Maintain inventory counts of products
  • Maintain organization of freezers and refrigerators
  • Work as a member of the childcare team
  • Check with a Director regarding any food allergies and or dietary needs

Qualifications

Required

  • At least one year of work experience as a cook preferred
  • Possess or obtain current food service certification
  • Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware
  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
  • Knowledge of the rules/guidelines related to kitchen rules/safety
  • Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
  • Desire and ability to work with children
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Very good communication skills
  • Excellent physical condition and stamina
  • Track record of building relationships with staff, volunteers, and parents
  • Annual CACFP Training

Preferred

Food Service Manager Salary: $14 - $16 per hour

Food Service Manager Hours: Monday through Friday 1:00pm - 5:30pm (Part Time)


Food Service Manager Responsibilities:
