Teague Campbell Dennis & Gorham, a civil litigation law firm with offices in Raleigh and Asheville, is seeking an Insurance Coverage Attorney with 2-5 years of insurance coverage and litigation experience. Teague Campbell Dennis & Gorham, a growing and well-respected civil litigation law firm with offices in Raleigh and Asheville, has an immediate need for an Insurance Coverage Attorney to join our Insurance Coverage Services practice group. The ideal candidate should have at least 2-5 years of insurance coverage and litigation experience, with a good understanding of insurance policy interpretation.
Responsibilities
Our Insurance Coverage Services team works collaboratively to provide excellent client service in complex insurance coverage matters. Candidates selected for this position would add to the capabilities of and support for the team.
The position will primarily involve analysis and interpretation of insurance policies, the application of those policies to claims and lawsuits, research, writing opinion letters, and advising insurers on their obligations with respect to claims handling and coverage issues.
Qualifications
Candidates must exhibit strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, have the ability to multi-task, and work both independently and within a team environment. Experience working with an appellate court, such as staff counsel or clerk resulting in strong writing and analysis skills will also be considered. Law licensed required, with North and/or South Carolina privileges preferred.
Additional beneficial experience would include experience handling the phases of litigation including drafting state and federal declaratory judgement actions, motion practice, discovery, and case management, as well as handling hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
