Qualifications

Required

  • 1+ year experience in occupational health or related experience.
  • Experience responding to triage medical conditions and medical emergencies.
  • Strong clinical abilities and enthusiasm for a collaborative approach to treatment.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills, detail oriented.
  • Competent in basic Microsoft Office suite programs.

Full Job Description

This position is contingent on a contract award.

Requires a Top Secret with SCI polygraph clearance

Must reside in the Washington DC/Metro Area

This position supports a Government Intelligence Customer. Personnel on this contract provide health, safety, and related services that directly support the intelligence mission and improve the well-being of the customer's workforce domestically who are operating in a fast moving and high stress environment. RNs provide nursing care to end-user customers. Triage medical conditions and respond quickly and calmly to medical emergencies. This position accurately analyzes medical history and conditions to address minor illnesses, conditions, and first aid delivery needs. Provides appropriate personalized health counseling to individual clients to improve health outcomes.

+ Provides initial care and treatment for on-the-job injuries and illnesses.

+ Provides first aid response for onsite medical emergencies (including use of portable automated external defibrillators: AEDs, and intravenous fluid resuscitation in selected locations).

+ Performs Medical surveillance activities.

+ Provides Walk-in care provision.

+ Delivers preventative care to include immunizations, blood pressure checks, glucose monitoring, and other pre-illness diagnostic activities and health screenings.

+ Performs waived testing (point of care) laboratory procedures and responsive activities.

+ Administers short-term treatments prescribed by a personal physician, such as periodic bed rest, blood pressure monitoring, finger stick glucose monitoring, allergy immunotherapy, and other authorized treatments and injectable medication administration.

+ Performs comprehensive Health Risk Assessments, education, and counseling.

+ Provide Provision of health risk reduction seminars (if directed) focused on core health risks.

+ All other duties as assigned.

1+ year experience in occupational health or related experience such as public health/community health, outpatient clinic, emergency department or ambulatory healthcare, or physician office nursing.

Excellent communication and organization skills, detail oriented, and ability to perform identified nursing services.

Must be competent in basic Microsoft Office suite programs to develop adequate site activity reports and perform accurate and legible data collection activities as directed.

Top Secret with SCI polygraph clearance OR candidates that are willing to go through the process of obtaining the clearance may be considered.
