Position Summary:

The Office Assistant will provide assistant across the scope of the program in order to meet the needs of the program and service students

Essential Functions:

Assist staff with office duties that includes filing, making phone calls, operating office machines, organizing files and paperwork, make classroom rounds to determine the needs of the instructors and students, complete errands and communicate concerns to the appropriate staff member.

Additional Functions:

Occasionally the candidate maybe asked to supervise students and/or escort students from one place to another.

Prerequisite Qualifications:

Must have good organizational skills, and basic knowledge of the Microsoft system and Microsoft Suites.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Candidates can be a current high school senior or graduate, a college student or recent college graduate.

- Experience working with minority or disadvantaged students, should possess a high level of integrity.

- At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
