Oncology Data Specialist

**Responsibilities**

+ The Oncology Data Specialist analyzes, abstracts, and codes demographic, patient and cancer related information, treatment and staging from the medical records on all cancer cases seen and or diagnoses at designated facility, identifies eligibility of cancer patients in the registry and obtains interesting cases from medical staff and pathologists, prepares agenda for conference and assures that pathology and radiology material for conferences is available. Performs other duties as assigned.

+ 1 year of Oncology related experience is acceptable with an Associate's degree.

**Certifications and Licensures**

+ **Required:** ODS (Oncology Data Specialist)

**Education**

+ Required High School Diploma or GED

+ Preferred - Associates in related field

**Experience**

+ Required 2 years Cancer Services

+ Required 2 years Registration

+ Or 1 year related experience with related Associate's Degree and required ODS Certification

BayCare Health System, Oncology Data Center-SJHC
