Responsibilities

  • Ensure plant meets or exceeds all GMP requirements
  • Collaborate with other departments to produce, store and distribute quality products
  • Supervise, train, and develop sanitation team
  • Develop Sanitation Standard Operational Procedures (SSOP) according to GMP, USDA, and FDA regulations for all sanitation activities
  • Maintain GMP provisions and monitor team member practices that relate to cleanliness, sanitation, and pest control
  • Conduct safety training to comply with OSHA regulations and company standards
  • Enforce and communicate company policies and procedures
  • Develop work schedules, measure performance, and monitor historical trends
  • Train team on company Management System Procedures and work instructions
  • Maintain all pertinent records, reports and paperwork as needed partnered with production and maintenance resources to meet plant objectives
  • Serve as the department specialist for the facility's HACCP and/or Food Safety Team
  • Other projects or duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 plus years of manufacturing experience and 0-1 plus years of people leadership experience or HS Diploma/GED with 5 plus years of manufacturing experience and 2 plus years of people experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong team building and coaching skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of an organization
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-directed with the ability to work independently
  • Understanding and application of HACCP concepts and principles
  • Knowledge of quality, OSHA, and food safety regulations in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to work 3rd shift and adjust schedule as needed
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
  • Must pass a post-offer background and drug test

Position Summary:

The Sanitation Supervisor manages the daily operations of the sanitation department for the manufacturing plant including understanding the sanitation program, efficiency targets and methods to improve overall performance of the sanitation team. This position supervises the sanitation team in 24 X 5 manufacturing environment.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
