**Position Overview:**

Assists in preparing for and during surgery by performing routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies of the department and hospital to assure quality patient care.

**EDUCATION**

_Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma._

HS Diploma: High School or General Education (GED) or equivalent education/experience

Other: Completion of a formal accredited Operating Room Technician program

**CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE**

BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

**PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:**

Two (2) years scrubbing experience at CPMC

**SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**

Basic knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and supplies.

Requires communication, organization and interpersonal skills.

Requires flexibility to accommodate emergencies as well as changing schedules and priorities.

**$10,000 Sign-On Bonus**

Pay Range is $51.25 to $61.24 / hour

_The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package._
