Description
Summary: The Logistics Outbound Shipping Clerk will be responsible for effectively managing communication between customers, transportation carriers and the Company. The individual will provide daily support through the answering of phones; processing BOL's, signing out drivers, entering in/out times in one network, filing of BOL'S and creating UPS tracking numbers for shipments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Responsible for answering phone calls and providing customer assistance
+ Responsible for correctly signing out drivers
+ Accountable for processing all BOL's
+ Responsible for accurately communicating all carrier arrivals to DC supervision.
+ Responsible for entering in and out times in one network.
+ Actively maintain Logistics logs and keep information up to date
+ File BOL'S in number sequence for easy access if that shipment in needed.
+ Need to create UPS tracking numbers within UPS shipping network.
+ Participates in the process of keeping the shipping office in efficient working order

Education and/or ExperienceIdeally incumbent will possess a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Lotus Notes Contact Management systems; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.
