Responsibilities

  • Attain or exceed annual defined revenue and profit targets linked to the Valent Sustainable Solutions portfolio.
  • Serve on the global SSBU team directed by Valent BioSciences with global colleagues.
  • Direct and guide the sustainable solutions portfolio plans and sustainability initiatives across North America.
  • Lead and coach the Valent Sustainable Solutions Sales Manager and the 13 Sustainable Solutions Sales Specialists.
  • Lead the cross-function teams responsible for delivering on the corporate and commercial sustainability goals.
  • Work with cross-function teams to establish priorities and policies for commercial direction, new product development, customer satisfaction, and market positioning.
  • Manage group operating expenses in accordance with annual plan.
  • Serve as the champion for biorational and botanical product growth.
  • Engage the sustainability team monthly to review YTD goal tracking.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive business plans for vertically integrated and corporate farms.
  • Align with the VP, Agricultural Sales to design team targets and incentives.
  • Evaluate structure and go to market strategy to optimize impact with strategic accounts.
  • Serve as a key member of the Valent USA Strategic Leadership Team.

Qualifications

Required

  • BA/BS in business administration, agricultural related science or equivalent.
  • MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 15 years related experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive management experience related to commercial and customer planning.
  • Leadership experience related to sustainability strategies and biological solutions.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to engage and influence across function teams and company lines.

Valent USA is currently recruiting for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in San Ramon, CA.

Reporting to the HR Director, this position is responsible for assuring HR personnel actions are carried out as planned with appropriate approvals by completing required documentation, obtaining approvals and accurately maintaining employee electronic HRIS records. Manages the administration of HR employee relations activities. Ensures systems, records and processes are compliant with federal, state and local regulations and company operating procedures. Creates HRIS monthly reports for reporting and audit purposes. This role will support the Human Resources team in delivering employee services in the areas of records administration, talent acquisition, temporary staff and contract administration support, managing onboarding programs, invoice coding, general administration support for HR Department. Participates in annual HR projects and other special team projects.

Principal Responsibilities:

+ Assists in the daily administration of Human Resources and corporate service programs, answering questions, preparing communications, maintaining and filing employee records (including recruiting materials, immigration and other confidential information) and escalating issues to Management team.

+ Manages, schedules and coordinates arrangements for interviews, new hire onboarding, departures, meetings, events, training classes, orientations and office tours. Develops agendas and timetables and takes meeting minutes. May assist in organizing internal and external business-related functions, symposiums, conferences, banquets, and VIP briefings. May coordinate and arrange hotel accommodations, transportation services, communications, facilities support, and other activities or events as needed.

+ Responds to employment verifications, tracks projects, creates department calendar and prepares meeting minutes.

+ Inputs confidential data, including onboarding material, departure material, position and wage information into systems and develops system queries to ensure data integrity and accuracy. Creates reports to verify data accuracy and ensures timely coordination with teams. Works closely with Payroll to ensure timely notification of employee information and organizational /position /employment status and pay changes. Will troubleshoot and resolve issues.

+ Develops monthly reporting package including census, headcount, status changes and distributes to HR and management teams.

+ Supports the team by assisting in the preparation of presentations for employee orientations, town hall and management meetings, and distributes communication materials. May lead new employee orientations. May develop company employment and general services communication materials.

+ Assists in the review and coding of invoices for payment (including temporary employment agencies, HR credit card, immigration, drug tests and background reviews, vendor services, etc.)

+ Manages the completion and approval process for required documentation to administer employment action changes by preparing required documentation, obtaining approvals, updating HRIS system and managing employee recordkeeping.

+ Completes I-9 and E-verify per required deadlines and accurately maintains records including files required for compliance, tracking systems for I-9 and Immigration visa re-verification to ensure ongoing compliance with federal and state regulations and company procedures

+ Recommends continuous improvement changes to streamline HR processes, procedures, tracking systems, records administration and forms.

+ May serve as back-up for General Services and HR administration back-up.

+ Participates in special projects for the Valent group of companies. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

+ BS degree (preferred) and 4+ years of experience in Human Resources role.

+ Ability to work in a fast paced environment

+ Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

+ Proficient in HRIS systems, ADP Workforce Now and DocuSign preferred

+ Must be able to effectively interpret and analyze data

+ Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

+ Ability to maintain confidentiality

+ Ability to juggle multiple duities and prioritize tasks

+ Excellent communication skills and ability to handle sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy
