The Radiologic Technologist must demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. The Radiologic Technologist must maintain a high degree of accuracy in Radiologic positioning and exposure techniques. He/she must maintain knowledge about radiation protection and safety. The Radiologic Technologists prepare for and assist the physician in the completion of intricate Radiologic examinations. They prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with state, federal and hospital regulations. The Radiologic Technologists are the primary liaison between patients and departmental physicians and other members of the support team. They must remain sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills. They maintain confidentiality of all patient care information to assure that patient’s rights are protected. Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships both inter- and intra-departmentally; to foster good customer relations and to observe the Skyline Medical Center mission statement. Ability to be knowledgeable and compliant with the policies, procedures, and regulations relating to the Department of Medical Imaging. Ability to use professional and ethical judgment and critical thinking when performing their duties. Quality improvement and customer service allow the Radiologic Technologist to be a responsible member of the health care team by continually assessing professional performance. Radiologic Technologists are required to obtain continuing education for optimal patient care, public education and enhanced knowledge and technical competence.

In addition, we are equipped with 3 helipads, new ICU and Medical/Surgical floors, and burn care services. We offer a CARF accredited Inpatient Rehabilitation program and are an ACS verified Level II Trauma Center.
