  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to function as a member of a multidisciplinary team

**Job Description**

The Clinical Psychologist provides an advanced level of clinical mental health services in both individual and group settings. Primary duties include crisis intervention, assessment and diagnosis, short-term stabilization, psychotherapy, psychological testing, evaluations, and consultations. Clinical supervision, educational presentations about clinical topics, and research activities may also be provided. Services are based on sound theoretical principles, with knowledge of the special issues and needs of the population served. The incumbent develops strategies for the services provided to meet the multifaceted needs of a diverse population, with attention to the policies and procedures of the organization's BH division, and is expected to interface with internal and external service providers.

Minimum Requirements

+ Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology

+ Licensed in the State of Missouri as a Psychologist, or license-eligible.

+ Must have knowledge of psychological terminology, the process of diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric disorders.

+ Must demonstrate knowledge of the theory and practice of psychotherapy and have basic research skills.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational ability, and social facility are required for the ability to function as a member of a multidisciplinary team, and to provide education to staff and in the community.

+ Must be able to demonstrate good independent judgment, adapt to new duties, and work in a changing environment.

+ Completion of training as directed through orientation and/or Leadership, Management or Educators in the established timeline for continued employment.
