- Supervises, leads, and manages Campus Security Officers during their assigned shifts.
- Assigns tasks, monitors progress and completion. Reviews the Pass on Book daily. Holds daily shift briefings. Supervise authorized student room searches.
- Maintains a professional, neat, and clean appearance of all under their charge. Checks all paperwork for completeness and accuracy.
- Monitors and becomes proficient in operating the Lennel electronic door locking system, the Livesafe application and the Omnilert notification process.
- Inventories all keys on a daily basis for accountability. Makes both emergency and non-emergency notifications to the Director, Assistant Director and all others as required.
- Conducts investigations as required including but not limited to employee internal affairs and student conduct.
- Initiates employee disciplinary action in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and University rules, regulations, policies, and practices.
- Handles all other duties or tasks which may be assigned by the Director or Assistant Director.

The Department of Campus Safety at Shenandoah University is seeking qualified candidates for a Shift Supervisor. This is a full-time benefitted position located on our main campus in Winchester, VA.
