The Area Manager at British Swim School Hudson Waterfront is responsible for ensuring the highest quality experience for all parents and swimmers. This role involves staffing the area, implementing policies, improving staff and swimmer retention, and ensuring safety and hygiene standards are met. Responsibilities

  • Ensure locations operate smoothly and in accordance with British Swim School policies and safety/hygiene protocols.
  • Create and foster a positive culture of high performance in Aquatics and Customer Service.
  • Meet monthly KPI targets for pool revenues, drop prevention, 5-star reviews, NPT score, and social media.
  • Ensure all staff abide by BSS standards and guidelines.
  • Train and monitor the ongoing training and coaching of all staff.
  • Create and develop new, innovative, and fun techniques for lessons.
  • Follow-up and coach existing staff on customer service techniques and communications.
  • Responsible for hiring and overseeing training of new staff.
  • Provide a consistently superb customer experience at the pool.
  • Ensure all opening and closure procedures are carried out following protocols.
  • Maintain the highest hygiene and safety levels for each location.
  • Coach staff on survival skills, commitment, and poolside enrollments.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and hygiene rules at the pool.
  • Handle poolside customer issues, escalations/de-escalations, and follow-ups.
  • Attend all required meetings, training, and coaching sessions.
  • Cover the territory of Area Manager colleagues when needed.
  • Report on areas of strength and weakness and suggest solutions.
  • Hold staff accountable with clear expectations and provide regular feedback.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews and 1:1 meetings regularly.
  • Monitor arrival and departure times and participation in daily huddles.
  • Handle weekly payroll responsibilities including timecard corrections and PTO approvals.

+ Lead the Team: You'll be responsible for overseeing staffing, operations, and ensuring every pool location runs smoothly while meeting key performance targets.

+ Ensure Safety & Fun: From hygiene checks to maintaining British Swim School's high teaching standards, you'll ensure every pool location delivers a fun, safe, and unforgettable experience for our students.

+ Develop the Crew: You'll train, coach, and support staff, fostering a positive and high-performance culture both in and out of the pool.

+ Boost Success: Meet monthly targets for revenue, customer satisfaction, and retention. Keep pools running efficiently while ensuring our teaching methods and customer service are top-notch.
