The Oversight Physician at QuadMed functions as a practicing physician responsible for overseeing Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) at health and wellness centers. This role involves ensuring the highest quality of clinical care through delegation and oversight of tasks, as required by state regulations. The position requires a minimum of 2 to 4 hours per week for quality review, consultation on patient care, and partnership with the Medical Director to maintain quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Conducts timely quality review and completion of oversight documentation on assigned APP charts based on state regulations and QuadMed procedures.
- Available to APP as necessary via phone/pager or in person during patient care or clinical activities to consult on patient care.
- Provides feedback to APP and partners with the medical director for quality improvement and highest care delivery standard.
- Reviews and consents of delegated tasks and oversees these tasks as per state guidelines and QuadMed standards.
- Performs any other duties or services required by laws, rules, or regulations relating to collaboration with the NP/PA.
- Maintains confidentiality of all patient and organization information.
- Executes collaborative agreement with APP and periodically renews as required by state law and/or QuadMed procedure.
- May be required to conduct site visits to meet with their respective APP as required by state regulations and law.
Qualifications
Required
- MD or D.O degree from an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathy and completion of appropriate residency
- Active Board certification or eligibility
- Occupational Health Board Certification preferred
- Minimum five (5) years of primary care practice
- Proficiency in use of electronic medical records
- Two (2) or more years of experience supervising, training or mentoring advanced practice professionals preferred
- Current and unrestricted licensure in Michigan
- Current DEA registration

+ M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited School of Medicine and completion of appropriate residency
+ Active Board certification or eligibility
+ Occupational Health Board Certification preferred
