The HR Partner, Employee Relations at FM is responsible for collaborating with senior HRBPs and business leaders to address complex and high-profile employee relations challenges. Responsibilities

  • Utilize the HR Acuity employee relations case management tool to document and manage employee relations cases and investigations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Company policies and legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees.
  • Optimize the use of HR Acuity, the Vemo workforce planning and analytics tool, and other data sources to analyze employee relations data and identify trends.
  • Work closely with the Global HRBP team and various cross-functional teams to develop and execute effective workplace policies, processes, training, and compliance protocols.
  • Create tools, templates, and processes that facilitate consistent and centralized employee relations functions.
  • Educate ER CoE team, Sr/HRBPs, and other relevant stakeholders on new tools and processes.
  • Develop training programs on employee relations topics to promote best practices and ensure compliance.

  • 7+ years of related work experience in an employee relations function or similar function with a heavy concentration in employee relations

**Schedule & Location:**

This is an exempt, office-based position. Employee can be based out of Johnston, RI or Norwood, MA. Flexibility for remote work 1-2 days per week, dependent on business needs.

Collaborate with senior HRBPs and business leaders to address complex and high-profile ("Tier 2 and Tier 3") employee relations challenges, such as escalated workplace complaints, advanced performance and conduct challenges, systemic work environment issues, group restructurings/RIFs, and sensitive involuntary terminations.

Provide guidance and support to ER CoE team members as they manage a broad spectrum of employee relations matters, and offer coaching and mentorship to help them develop their skills and expertise.

Conduct timely and thorough internal investigations involving Tier 2 and Tier 3 matters. Produce clear, concise, accurate investigation reports and stakeholder briefings that include thoughtful findings, conclusions, and recommendations.

Utilize the HR Acuity employee relations case management tool to document and manage employee relations cases and investigations; develop and maintain technical expertise to support team members on the use of the tool.

Maintain in-depth knowledge of Company policies and legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, serving as an authoritative resource for managers and Sr/HRBPs seeking guidance on policy interpretation and application.

Optimize the use of HR Acuity, the Vemo workforce planning and analytics tool, and other data sources to analyze employee relations data and identify trends, and coach ER CoE team members on how to effectively leverage these tools. Utilize these insights to inform strategic decision-making and recommend solutions to address root causes and mitigate the risk of future or repeated employee relations issues.

Work closely with the Global HRBP team and various cross-functional teams, including Law & Governmental Affairs, HR CoEs, the FM Global Academy, and Risk Management, to develop and execute effective workplace policies, processes, training, and compliance protocols. Ensure that these initiatives are appropriate for the organization's needs and comply with local regulations. Continuously monitor and improve employee relations policies to ensure that they remain up-to-date and fit for purpose.

Create tools, templates, and processes that facilitate consistent and centralized employee relations functions. Educate ER CoE team, Sr/HRBPs, and other relevant stakeholders on these new tools and processes, providing just-in-time training as needed. Responsibilities also may include developing training programs on employee relations topics to promote best practices and ensure compliance.

**Required Education:**

Bachelors Degree (a combination of work experience and education may be considered)

7+ years of related work experience in an employee relations function or similar function with a heavy concentration in employee relations

Global work experience in a corporate environment

Experience navigating involved leave of absence and ADA accommodation situations

The hiring range for this position is $114,300-$164,200 annually. The final salary offer will vary based on individual education, skills, and experience.
