The IT Network Engineer at CoreCivic is responsible for configuring, installing, and managing various network devices and services, such as routers, switches, and wireless access points.   • Maintains a nationwide focus on the overall health of the network and ensures high availability and high performance of network solutions to meet business needs.
  • Clearly communicates technical information with CoreCivic's business units.
  • Follows the CoreCivic program management methodology and works collaboratively on project teams.
  • Manages problem and request tickets for assigned technology.
  • Ensures availability of supported technology.
  • Domestic U.S. travel is required.

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with an Associate's degree in Computer Science.
  • Three years of related experience.
  • Cisco CCNA certification.
  • Strong understanding of network concepts, LAN/MAN/WAN topologies, VLANs, Switch Trunking, Virtual Port Channels (VPC), network subnetting, OSPF, BGP, Access Lists, NAC/802.1x, Spanning Tree, and QoS policies.
  • Knowledge of DNS/DHCP configurations such as; Bluecat DNS and Microsoft DHCP.
  • Experience with FortiNAC, Cisco Nexus (NX-OS) switches, HP/Aruba ClearPass and HP/Aruba 2900/2600 /5400 series switches, Cisco 9200/9300 series switches, Zero Trust framework, Extreme wireless access-points and Azure/AWS support.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred

  • Cisco CCNP certification.
