  • Interact with state office staff and the public.
  • Provide orientation to contractors and agency staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Completion of two years (60 semester hours) of accredited college work, plus two years of full-time experience in contract development, management, evaluation, monitoring, or training of contract providers or customers; or in the delivery of workforce development services which included contract development, management, evaluation, monitoring, or training of contract providers or customers.
  • One year of experience may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of education.

Preferred

  • Certification as a Certified Texas Contract Developer (CTCD) or Certified Texas Contract Manager (CTCM). A minimum of one of the two certifications must be obtained within one year of employment.
  • Experience coordinating competitive solicitations e.g., Requests for Proposals (RFPs), for the State of Texas.
  • Experience in technical writing, procurement processes, and contract development.
  • Experience in facilitation, customer service, and data analysis.
  • Strong communication and organization skills with attention to detail.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and constructive work relationships.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Teams.
