Junior System Administrator

We are looking for a Junior System Administrator to join our growing team! As a growing company, Perellion has lots of new and interesting IT technologies to deploy, manage, and maintain. We support our engineers in their projects which include designing, building, and deploying clean-sheet automation and manufacturing solutions for cutting-edge technologies of the future such as electric aircraft, commercial spacecraft, batteries, and clean energy. Due to the nature of the business, Perellion stays current on the latest cybersecurity standards and best practices.

As a Junior Systems Administrator at Perellion, you would be working across multiple IT fields with support from a Senior Systems Administrator. You would play a direct role in bringing IT projects from concept to full scale production and maintaining them for their lifetime. Your daily responsibilities will include helping other employees with IT requests and questions, maintaining existing infrastructure, updating documentation, and designing solutions for new business requirements. You will be expected to carefully follow all Perellion policies and procedures.

We support our early-career administrators with training and mentoring.

Due to the nature of our work, all System Administrator positions at Perellion are full-time in-person/in-the-office.

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills. This is as important as technical capabilities.
• Strong knowledge in basic IT technologies.
• Willingness to learn unfamiliar systems.
• Due to the nature of our ITAR projects, applicants must be US Citizens or lawful permanent residents per 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).

Bonus points:

• Experience in website design and maintenance.
• Experience with security standards especially NIST 800-171.
• Experience troubleshooting complex problems with the SysInternals suite
• Experience managing Linux systems
• Experience in automation of basic IT tasks
• Experience in following system design lifecycle policies
• Knowledge or experience in the following: Basic Enterprise Networks/Security, Enterprise Backup and Recovery, System monitoring, Microsoft Enterprise services, Virtualization.
