The University of Rochester is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Physician Assistant to join the URMC Department of Neurosurgery's Division of Cerebrovascular Disease and Stroke.   • Clearly communicate diagnostic testing results to providers and patients
  • Prescribe medications and support patients in pre and post treatment planning
  • Educate patients and families about cerebrovascular disease processes and treatment plans
  • Updates families about procedural timelines and outcomes
  • Document patient care in electronic medical records
  • Respond to patient questions and concerns
  • Participate in the education of learners (students, new employees, procedural staff), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skills training
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • Obtain and maintain certification for Moderate Sedation, BLS, ACLS

Responsibilities

**Qualifications**

Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program, licensure in good standing, and certified as a Registered Physician Assistant. Demonstrated clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. This role may be unit, program, or service based and is involved in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

**Pay Range**

Pay Range: $47.12 - $65.97 Hourly

_The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process._
