Layin Pipe, LLC is seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber for custom residential projects throughout the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. The role involves assembling pipe sections, installing plumbing fixtures, and maintaining or repairing plumbing systems. Responsibilities

  • Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.
  • Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.
  • Review blueprints, building codes, or specifications to determine work details or procedures.
  • Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, or fixtures in structures, using measuring instruments such as rulers or levels.
  • Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe to required angle, using hand or power tools or machines, such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, or pipe-bending machines.
  • Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers or water heaters, or fixtures such as sinks or toilets, using hand or power tools.
  • Cut openings in structures to accommodate pipes or pipe fittings, using hand or power tools.
  • Anchor steel supports from ceiling joists to hold pipes in place.
  • Maintain or repair plumbing by replacing defective washers, replacing or mending broken pipes, or opening clogged drains.
  • Direct helpers engaged in pipe cutting, preassembly, or installation of plumbing systems or components.
  • Install underground storm, sanitary, or water piping systems, extending piping as needed to connect fixtures and plumbing.

Established Residential General Contractor is seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber for projects throughout the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. Our firm specializes in Custom Residential projects for a wide range of clientele.

Qualifications:
Journeymen Plumber

- At least 5+ years of experience in residential construction or remodels.
- Must know cast iron & copper and have your own tools
- Experience with PEX, copper, galvanized steel, ABS, and gas poly lines.
- Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools
- Installation, repair, and replacement of plumbing fixtures including sinks, basins, toilets, and drinking fountains.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential issues and take appropriate action to resolve them
- Installs new water services and mains or replaces or relocates services with copper, cast iron, wrought iron, plastic, or steel pipes and bronze, copper, or galvanized fittings; drills and taps water mains.
- Assists in the excavation and backfilling of trenches, the disinfection and flushing of mains and fittings and the setting up and operating of various equipment necessary to maintenance and installation activities.
- Assists in the regulation of water supply from various distributions by operating necessary valves.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
